Anodizing
Anodizing is an electrochemical process in which an oxide surface layer is coated on a metal surface. The anodizing process helps in resisting wear and tear while also retaining the cosmetic/aesthetic appearance of the component in consideration.
The most common types of anodizing are Type I (Chromic Acid Anodize), Type II (Sulfuric Acid Anodize) and Type III, also known as Hardcoat.
